Week 7- Maths
This week get those calculators at the ready as this week we are going to be doing some bike maths. I Bike Officers Iain and George have created a worksheet for Primary school students and a worksheet for Secondary school students – so make sure you click on the right one for you! If you would like an extra challenge there definitely give both worksheets a go. I Bike Officer Iain has also demonstrated below how you can measure the circumference of bike wheel using your own bike- give it a go!

Week 6: Well-being Week
This week our I Bike Officers Ali and Rowanne have developed some brilliant activities to help enhance your well-being and get you looking after your mind and your body. First up, we have a great activity for you to create your own Zen Den and Sound Map exercise to get you in the zone and properly listening to what is around you. Follow the activity pdf below and watch the video to see how it is done. Keep your eyes peeled on Thursday for some more great well-being activities!
If you complete your Zen Den and Sound Map, check out the bonus activity of a Mindfulness Walk – a great way to do something slightly different for your daily exercise.
Week 5 – What to wear when cycling or scooting
This week we have a great educational video from our I Bike Officer, Ashley, taking you through what and what not to wear when cycling and scooting. For this week’s activity we would encourage you to take part in our I Bike Competition to design a Bike Crew T-Shirt. You will find everything you need to take part by clicking the activity PDF below including a t shirt template, guidelines and how you can share your designs with us. Closing date for entries is the 31st May 2020 – good luck!
Week 4 – World of Bikes
This week we have some great activities to get you learning and thinking all about the different kinds of bikes that exist and also learning about the history of the bike too.
We have two great videos from I Bike Officers Iain and George this week giving you some insight into the history of the bike as well as teaching you about two different types of bikes. If you have been inspired learning about the different kinds of bikes, definitely get designing your own bike using the activity sheet below.
Week 3 – Bike Checks
This week, Elvis Presta will be guiding you through how to do a bike check on your bikes. You can use the activity sheet to help as guide for your checks and learn top tips from Elvis Presta by watching the 3 videos below. Make sure you have an adult with you do complete some of the checks and if you find anything wrong with you bike do take it to your local bike shop to get fixed.
