Perth and Kinross School Bike Library

With help from I Bike, the Bike Station and Bikeability Scotland, we are trialing the Perth and Kinross School Bike Library in schools across PKC.

Children from P5-P7 will be able to borrow a bike for the whole school year with a helmet, lights and lock included. If your child has never ridden a bike before but would like to learn we can provide after school cycle training sessions.

Borrowing a Bike

Before borrowing a bike you and your child will be required to complete the bike loan form and agreement. We are relying on bike donations so have a limited number of bikes. If your child does not get a bike immediately they will stay on the list and get priority for the next set of bikes that come in. Please download the Parents Letter from our Download Section and complete it to register your interest. Send completed forms to email:

If you would prefer to enter online, please use the form at the bottom of this page.

Donating a Bike

Have you got an old bike taking up space and gathering cobwebs in the shed? We can help you recycle it by giving it a loving home with someone who desperately wants to ride it!

We are looking for bikes with a 24” wheel or above. We are happy to take donations of all conditions, even if they are broken, our bike doctors will do their best to resuscitate them and give them a new life.

To donate please take bikes to Perth Bike Station quoting “SCHOOL BIKE LIBRARY”. Open Fri & Sat 10:00-16:30 (The Bike Station Perth, 284 High St, Perth, PH1 5QS).
