This page is a summary of all the resources from the I Bike team available to support home learning. All of the links on this page will direct you to lesson resources that can be shared with your young learners. We hope you find these useful and would welcome feedback on these resources.
These are organised by curriculum area and, where possible, indicate the estimated age range.
All the resources listed here are open access without any login required. The full list of I Bike resources is on our resources page(Link opens a new page). Literacy & Maths
Burns Poetry -We have some activities for pupils to ‘Be the Bard’ and practice their perfect poetry skills!
Poetry activity 1 – for younger pupils (approx P3-5)
Poetry activity 2- for older pupils (approx P6-7)
My Journey - 3 part series that prompts learners to think about a journey they’d like to make. It then steps through a literacy task (P1-7) to write an email or postcard to someone back home, a maths task on speed/distance/time calculations for different modes of transport (P6-7) and a final activity to design a mode of transport (P1-7).
My Streets - We have an activity that will help pupils understand how other people played and used their street during their childhood. Then write or draw to show how someone might feel when they are playing or moving in your local streets. (P5-7)
STEM
Junior Dr Bike - a lesson & worksheet that pupils can use to safety check their bike.
World of Bikes - find out about the history of bikes & have a go at designing your own!
Air Quality Explorers - Meet our Air Quality Expert to learn about clean air & air pollution. Then find out if the air is clean where you live.
Tree Measuring - Activity for P5-7 to learn about tree measuring and then complete Maths & Literacy worksheets. Also includes a creative quiz!
UN Global Goals - The Sustainable Development Goals are a set of global priorities for ensuring that economic, environmental, social and cultural wellbeing is achieved for everyone around the world. I Bike can use the UN’s global goals for sustainability to deliver STEM lessons through outdoor learning.
Bike Maths - worksheets for Primary school students and a worksheet for Secondary school students. We also have a demonstration clip on how you can measure the circumference of the bike wheel using your own bike!
Outdoor Learning
Air Quality Explorers - Meet our Air Quality Expert to learn about clean air & air pollution. Then find out if the air is clean where you live.
Air Quality Explorer – aimed at P2-4. This can also be completed by older pupils before completing activity 3.
Lichen Walk – aimed at P2-4.

Tree Measuring - Activity for P5-7 to learn about tree measuring and then complete Maths & Literacy worksheets. Also includes a creative quiz!
Health & Wellbeing
Wellbeing Bingo - Get out to your local area on a walk scoot or cycle and challenge yourself to complete a game of ‘Wellbeing Bingo’!
Family Challenge - Think of some fun challenges to get your family active!
Keeping Active Indoors - We have some ideas about how to stay active when you're indoors
Be Bright Be Seen - Help pupils think about being seen when it’s dark. This can be a classroom session, assembly or online school task.
