Pupils

Pupils play an important part in encouraging their school to be more active.

In I Bike schools, key pupils are chosen to form a Bike Crew (in primary schools) or Active Travel Forums (in secondary schools).

The groups work with their school to decide which activities they’d like to do throughout the year. It’s a great way for children to get involved and make a difference.

Get Active

Start by thinking about how you can be active on your way to school and in your spare time. Can you walk, cycle or scoot to school or to any clubs you go to?

Talk to your parents or carers about what you might need to do this. Think about:

• Can you make it more fun by going with some friends?
• What is the best route to where you’re going and do you need to be shown how to get there?
• Do you need to get your bike or scooter checked?

Bike Crew - Bike & Scooter Counts

If your Bike crew would like to submit your Bike & Scooter count information please email to IBike@sustrans.org.uk . Please let us know your school name, date of your count, number of bikes, scooters and people walking.
